Privacy Policy

Effective June 19, 2026 · Last updated June 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how St. Clair Dev ("St. Clair Dev," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with our website at stclairdev.com (the "Site"). It also describes how our individual products handle information and links to their separate privacy policies where they exist.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Using one of our products? This policy covers the stclairdev.com website. Our products are separate applications, and the information they collect is governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Vehicle Recon Tracker — vehiclerecontracker.com/privacy.php
  • MatchChaser — app.matchchaser.com/privacy.php
  • CHP Incidents — view-only; its limited data practices are described in Section 4 below.

See Section 4 for more detail on each product.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

When you submit our contact or demo-request forms, we collect the information you choose to provide, which includes your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the contents of your message, along with the product you are inquiring about. You are not required to create an account to use the Site.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device and operating system information, referring pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect usage data, which is processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy. We use a session cookie only to operate our secure administrative area; this cookie is not used to track public visitors. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries, demo requests, and support questions;
  • operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our products;
  • understand site traffic and usage trends through aggregated analytics;
  • protect the Site against fraud, abuse, and security threats, including rate-limiting and detecting automated submissions; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use contact-form information for unrelated marketing.

3. How and With Whom We Share Information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose information only in the following circumstances, and only as needed:

  • Service providers. We share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf, such as our web hosting provider (which stores Site data on its servers), our email delivery provider (used to notify us of form submissions), and Google Analytics (analytics). These providers may only use the information to provide services to us.
  • Payment processors. Where our paid products accept payment, billing is handled by a third-party payment processor such as Stripe, which processes payment-card information under its own privacy policy. St. Clair Dev does not collect or store full payment-card numbers.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of St. Clair Dev, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If St. Clair Dev is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Method of disclosure. Information is disclosed to these parties electronically. Transfers to our service providers and payment processors occur over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and those parties are bound by their own contractual and privacy obligations governing the data they handle on our behalf.

4. Our Products and Their Privacy Policies

St. Clair Dev builds and operates several products. Some are separate web applications with their own data practices and privacy policies. Information collected by those products is governed by their respective policies, not solely by this one:

  • Vehicle Recon Tracker (vehiclerecontracker.com) — a dealership reconditioning-workflow application that collects account, vehicle, activity, and contact information from its users. See its privacy policy at vehiclerecontracker.com/privacy.php.
  • MatchChaser (matchchaser.com) — a USPSA classifier-tracking application that collects account information, classifier and match data, and related profile details from its users. See its privacy policy at app.matchchaser.com/privacy.php.
  • CHP Incidents (stclair.xyz/chpincidents) — an unofficial, view-only display of publicly available California Highway Patrol traffic-incident data. It does not require an account. If you choose to subscribe to its optional email-alert feature, we collect your email address and your selected alert filters solely to send you the incident digests you request; you can unsubscribe at any time. CHP Incidents is not affiliated with or endorsed by the California Highway Patrol.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. These measures include:

  • encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS;
  • hashing of administrative account passwords (we never store them in plain text);
  • restricted, role-based access to administrative systems and stored data;
  • protections against common web attacks, including parameterized database queries, cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protections, and security response headers;
  • rate-limiting and automated-abuse detection on public forms; and
  • storage of system credentials outside the public web directory.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You share information with us at your own risk.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for our legitimate business and recordkeeping purposes, after which we delete or anonymize the information. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration. You may request deletion of information you have submitted (see "Your Choices and Rights" below).

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may contact us at bryan@stclairdev.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided to us through the Site, or to ask questions about this policy. You may also opt out of analytics cookies as described above, and unsubscribe from any optional email alerts at any time.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to request access to or deletion of your personal information and to know how it is used and shared, subject to applicable law. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at bryan@stclairdev.com; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party websites, including our product sites and external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
